"Iron Dragon" Longshot: Review

The "Iron Dragon" is my signature Longshot.  Modifications done to it include:

  • Pump Action
  • Stockblock
  • Brass inserted into the breech
  • Spring Addition, Catch Spring Addition
  • Teflon Tape under the O-ring
Oh, and don't forget the sick paint job.

Close up of the dragon design

If you can see, there is a dark circle in the breech. That is about 1/2" of 17/32" brass pushed into the breech.  This makes for a tighter fit on the darts which is ideal for springer blasters.

I did the pump action on my Longshot a bit differently.  I do believe that nobody else has done it this way.  First I integrated the front gun, then extended the draw of it.  I then used two screws (that didn't have a point at the end of them) and attached a wooden arm that I made to the pump slide:

The springs I added was just a Big Bad Bow spring, but the Longshot spring was an older, silver one; which is more powerful than the new black ones. Ranges of the Longshot are 65-75' Flat using converted streamlines.  Not bad if I do say so myself.  I might be doing an angel breech for this in the future.

Airzone TripleShot/ Lanard Shotgun: Review

The Triple Shot is a 12 barrel, pump action, multi-shot blaster made by Lanard.  To operate the Tripleshot, you first pull back the pump handle, push it forward, and pull the trigger to shoot.

 Back of the box

When you first take the blaster out of the box, the stock is attached.  The stock has 3 dart slots made just for all you dart hoarders hoarders out there. :)  Because this gun was made for the proportions of a 6 year old, the stock is incredibly tiny.  But that is easily fixed; just simply pull on the stock till it pops out.  No disassembly required.

However,  my personal preference is to leave the stock on because there are these two little nubs on the end of the handle that are quite irritating with the stock off.  The gun also looks a little incomplete without it.

Performance wise, out of the box, this gun sucks.  Its a really, REALLY, horrible blaster.  Your lucky to get all three darts to fire and even luckier for them to go over 5'. This gun is just bad.
Therefore, we mod.  This gun has very good modding potential and can reach ranges of 140' FLAT!

Comfort: 4/5
Stock Ranges: (yuk) 1/5
Potencial: 5/5

Overall: 4/5

This is overall a very good blaster, IF you intend to mod it.  If not, then don't waist your time and money.
